GIANTS is part of the OpenEd movement.  The unit plans, lesson plans, and most of the activities contained within are licensed under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial, Share and Share Alike license.  Many of the resources, including the Michigan Open Book Project and the PASST assessments are also licensed this way.

 

So...what exactly does that mean?  Check out the graphic below for a description - but we encourage you to teach the lessons, make your own copies, and make them your own!  Every student is different.  Every teacher is different.  Every district is different.  Use this as a base for going further based on the needs of your local school.
